Registration

On our website, we offer you the opportunity to register and log in via your social media account (e.g., Facebook, Google). For this purpose, we use the WordPress plugin “Nextend Social Login” from Nextendweb. When you use this function, our website gains access to certain data from your social media profile. In this process, the social provider usually transmits your name, email address, and possibly your profile picture. These data are not stored on this website and are not passed on to third parties. The processing of your data is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR based on your voluntarily given consent, as you must independently adjust/update your profile. Please note that the use of social login functions is subject to the privacy policies of the respective social media provider. For more information, please refer to the privacy policies of the corresponding providers. You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data stored with us and to request their correction or deletion.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy for the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

The storage of comments and posts is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
